Polis and Latchi beach

Cyprus is renowned for its fine beaches. They are the #1 reason why tourists visit the island, and so are vital to the tourist economy of Cyprus. As of 2005, forty-eight (48) beaches on the island fly the EU Blue Flag - a demonstration of just how special the beaches on Cyprus really are.

Latchi Beach

Location: Latchi - Polis Area - Paphos District - Cyprus

This lovely pebble beach with beautiful mountain scenery is located close to Latchi fishing harbour, in Polis area. The water in the sea at Latchi beach is always crystal clear.

Yiannakis Beach

Location: Polis Area - Paphos District - Cyprus

This beach is simply a beauitful one with some stunning views and is definitely worth a visit when you are visiting the island. To reach this beach you travel down the road leading to the Baths of Aphrodite in Latchi, a spectacular setting. Once you have reached Yiannakis Beach you will see fantastic views of the Akamas peninsula to the west and Pomos point to the east. The waters are very clear and superb for snorkelling and other water sports. Dotted along the coastline are also a number of restaurants and bars for you to taste the local cuisine.

Mansoura Beach

Location: Mansoura village - Paphos District - Cyprus

This little gem as it is situated near Kato Pyrgos at the Greek Cypriot -Turkish Cypriot border, at the village of Mansoura, which consists of only a couple of houses. On a clear day, the road down to Mansoura offers spectacular views of Morphou Bay and the Kyrenian mountains in the Turkish controlled North of the island.

Coral Bay

Location: Paphos District - Cyprus

Coral Bay is rated the best beach in western Cyprus. It is a lovely long curved stretch of golden sand that falls in between two headlands. The beach is well-equipped and has calm shallow waters all around. The bay also has some splendid little coves in the region and many a place to explore. The bay offers the chance for some outstanding diving, and is also very close to the nesting spot for the turtles of the island.

Polis Chrysochou Bay

This is really one long beach stretching from the edge of the Akamas on the Polis/Latchi side to Pomos further around the bay. With the water being extremely clear, it makes an ideal location for snorkelling and diving. Lara Bay Lara Bay Location: Akamas Peninsula - Paphos District - Cyprus Lara Bay is found on one of the last remaining wilderness areas in Cyprus - the Akamas peninsula. Home to the Green Turtle, one of the few places in the Mediterranean where this turtle returns to breed, Lara is shaped like a horse shoe and is a mixture of soft sand and rocks.
